Job Title: Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Manager to work with our client within their school contract in Exeter. The Facilities Manager will manage the service delivery of hard services and the onsite team's performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for designated schools 24/7, providing coverage for additional schools as needed and ensuring consistent service delivery in alignment with contract requirements.
  • Manage and lead the onsite team, including Engineers and Caretaking staff, ensuring performance issues are addressed promptly and safely, and fostering a culture of behavioural safety.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, including conducting regular meetings to address site-related issues and ensuring effective communication of contractor works and service delivery updates.
  • Oversee HR-related responsibilities for the team, including managing rotas, annual leave, performance reviews, and disciplinary procedures, while ensuring staff training and development.
  • Monitor and audit site performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, risk assessments, and method statements, and implementing improvements for enhanced productivity and performance.
  • Manage financial aspects related to contracted works, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and minimising penalty deductions by regularly reviewing and closing open jobs.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, PFI experience desired
  • Must be willing to form part of the on-call rota with availability 24/7 to attend site as necessary
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance at enhanced level
