ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small and highly skilled Facilities Management team, in delivering building/grounds maintenance and site security services to support the operational activities of the department, ensuring the optimum working environment for our business teams and their developing activities. This is a great opportunity to learn a variety of skills from a supportive and dynamic team while being part of forward thinking and sustainability focused company. This is a varied role that would be best suited to someone who is eager to learn and passionate about our mission of making positive environmental and social impact at scale.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to job instructions provided by the Facilities Management (FM) department and provide general maintenance and repair work within areas of personal competence.
- Promptly report any other maintenance requirements for the site or buildings back to the FM help desk so that they can be actioned.
- Whilst working on site, help to monitor and ensure that contractors are working in accordance with Oxygen House’s Code of Practice and report any concerns or issues.
- Select, check, use, maintain and clean tools, equipment, materials, components, compounds, and parts appropriate to the task being undertaken, handling, positioning and storing these safely, and clearing away and disposing of waste safely on completion of work, and in accordance with codes of practice.
- Use initiative and learnt knowledge to plan own work to complete the allocated tasks.
- Carry out planned, responsive or temporary repairs to buildings and their immediate surroundings to make buildings safe and secure for their occupants or clients.
- Carry out maintenance of the external grounds and kitchen garden.
- Keep programmed maintenance records on the Facilities CAFM system.
- Assist in the management of emergency situations on site (if/when required).
- Assist in the coordination of office works or moves.
- To carry out any other reasonable duty as may be required.
