Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical individual to join our team as a Junior Estimator at Brett Martin. As a key member of our commercial sales function, you will play a crucial role in securing projects by analyzing drawings, bills of quantities, and other project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our modular commercial product range, including their limitations and applications.
  • Provide accurate costs for products and installation works, ensuring timely and effective responses to customer enquiries.
  • Raise and issue clear and detailed quotations, meeting customer requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain our CRM system up-to-date with customer information, project updates, and correspondence.
  • Offer technical support to customers, providing training and information on products as needed.
  • Communicate the features and benefits of our products and services to new and existing customers, ensuring order security and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales and project office team to deliver a world-class service.
  • Develop strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness to maximize profits for each project secured.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset, including financial analysis.

  • GCSE C and above in Maths and English.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Previous estimating experience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Good understanding of building and construction.
  • Commercial awareness of the construction industry.
  • Able to undertake project management.
  • Knowledge of CAD.
  • Possible main contractor background.
  • Some previous experience in an estimating role.
