About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to join our team at Amazon TA. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including material handling systems, automation systems, and building equipment.
  • React quickly to equipment breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected parties, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to prevent future issues.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise.
  • Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with Amazon TA's standards and regulations.
  • Perform compliance tasks, including audits and inspections, to ensure adherence to country-specific legislation.
  • Provide on-site support and escalate high-severity issues to specialist subcontractors as needed.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory, utilizing our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Work in a hands-on manner, demonstrating expertise on all material handling equipment in the building.
Requirements
  • Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems, fault finding, and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters, and other equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience with high-voltage switching, sortation machines, bar code scanners, and print and apply machines.
  • Experience with fault finding on building equipment, including HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, and general building maintenance tasks.
