Investment and Accounting Specialist

ITV is seeking a highly experienced Investment and Accounting Specialist to join our Pensions team in Preston on a 12-18 month contract.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support the Trustee Board and Pensions Executive with investment and accounting-related projects to enhance the pension risk management framework and provide solutions to the team's leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement an appropriate investment governance structure
  2. Review tax reclaims and ensure all available claims have been/will be received
  3. Review accounting processes with the internal Finance team
  4. Identify and implement improvements to ensure efficient and accurate monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts process and audit process
  5. Support the Trustee Board and Pensions team with auditor selection exercise
  6. Support the Trustee Board and Pensions team with the development of the 2025 Scheme budget using the zero-based budgeting model
  7. Review and improve the current approvals process, budget monitoring, and reporting process with the internal Finance team
Requirements
  1. Extensive experience in investment governance, accounting, or financial analysis, preferably within the pensions sector
  2. Understanding of pension fund regulations and compliance requirements
  3. Proven track record of preparing financial reports
