Job Title: Human Resources Advisor

About the Role:

MiAlgae is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, supporting our employees, and driving HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Human Resources in the development and delivery of the strategic objectives of the MiAlgae people plan.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes – from posting to onboarding new hires.
  • Handle day-to-day HR operations, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and general HR administration.
  • Review and maintain company policies, procedures, and staff handbook, ensuring alignment with current employment legislation and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in applying these policies and procedures.
  • Support in payroll management.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement and development programs.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote company culture and processes.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and address workforce development needs.
  • Assist with the management of employee relations casework.
  • Administer, promote, and coordinate Graduate and Apprenticeship schemes.

About You:

We are looking for a proactive and approachable HR professional with a passion for supporting people and fostering a positive workplace environment. You will be a self-motivated individual who works effectively under their own autonomy, as well as within a team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and results-driven, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in developing and supporting line managers through change.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is critical.
  • Experience with HR Systems.
  • Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is preferred.
