Job Title: Head of Human Resources

A leading retail and wholesale business is seeking a highly experienced Head of Human Resources to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business outcomes through effective HR practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive staff resourcing strategy to meet business objectives.
  2. Design and deliver a site-wide learning and development program to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  3. Implement an enhanced induction process and provide ongoing support to ensure employee success.
  4. Manage HR operational processes, systems, and data maintenance to ensure compliance with legislative and business requirements.
  5. Provide specialist guidance on employment legislation and ensure business compliance.
  6. Manage employee relations issues and employee welfare concerns, including mental health and absence.
  7. Conduct annual employee surveys and develop an Employee Engagement Plan to address survey results.
  8. Provide regular reports and statistics to support business decision-making.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a HR Leader.
  2. CIPD Level 5+ qualification.
  3. Proven experience in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  4. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulations.
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong management experience.
