Job Title: SME Commercial Insurance Broker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SME Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team at Lawes Consulting Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, handling new and existing commercial insurance risks, and assisting in the growth and success of our Scottish region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the launch and growth of our new office in Glasgow, providing support to management and account executives in their day-to-day duties.
  • Handle new and existing commercial insurance risks, providing quotations, handling renewals, MTA's, insurer placement, invoicing, and other related tasks.
  • Work closely with account executives, attending client visits where required, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Keep Acturis records up to date, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Attend network events, conferences, and training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Grow and develop insurer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and expanding our network.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial insurance broking, with a strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including property, motor, EL, PL, commercial combined, business interruption, and other related areas.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general and legal principles of insurance, as well as relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Existing insurer relationships and Acturis experience are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Acturis and other relevant software.
  • CII qualifications are advantageous, but not essential.
