Veterinary Care Specialist

GLG Vets is a vibrant and growing veterinary practice in Chester-le-Street, County Durham. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Care Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working collaboratively with our team.
Compensation Package: £45,000 - £60,000 per year, reflecting the market rate for this role in the North East of England.
Key Responsibilities:
- To perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- To conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- To collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- To provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- To maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
- A veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- A valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- A compassionate and caring approach to animals.
