Overview of the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at GLG Vets in Chester-le-Street, County Durham. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and other small creatures.
  • Conduct surgical procedures as needed, such as spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries, with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress, ensuring continuity of care.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution, showcasing academic excellence.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK, demonstrating regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and client relationships.
