Job Summary:

G3 Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and integrating electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other systems and ensure seamless operation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, operational documentation, and validation evidence.
  • Manage third-party designers and provide design assistance to installation and commissioning teams.
  • Participate in internal and external design review meetings to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and business improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical tenders and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher education qualification in electrical engineering with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a design environment.
  • Previous experience of integrating multiple services within containerized or modular builds is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis tools for electrical systems, such as Trimble MEP, DIALux, or Relux.
  • Working knowledge of 18th Edition (amendment 2) wiring regulations and relevant BS/ISO standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork abilities.
