Role Description:

  • We're looking for a skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team at OpenSourced.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement designs for electrical and electronics hardware.
  2. Troubleshoot hardware issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive test plans for electronics hardware.
  4. Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure PCB assembly meets quality standards.
  5. Prepare detailed documentation and reports to track progress and make informed decisions.
  6. Analyze data to optimize product performance and develop innovative solutions.
  7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a secure work environment.
  8. Contribute to the development of QA systems and quality policies.
  9. Support the Engineering Manager in various tasks and initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of electrical and electronics hardware design fundamentals.
  2. Expertise in soldering and reworking PCBs, including LSI and fine-pitch components.
  3. Able to create prototypes for testing purposes.
  4. Familiarity with production environment best practices, including ESD safety procedures.

Compensation Package: £45,000 per year, based on your skills and experience.
