Job Role:

As an Electrical Design Systems Engineer with G3 Systems, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions that meet our clients' needs. This role involves collaborating with other design engineers to integrate electrical systems into the overall design, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, technical, and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual designs, detail designs, integration/installation drawings, design specifications, operational documentation, and validation evidence for electrical engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with other design engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall design.
  • Manage third-party designers and provide design assistance to installation and commissioning teams.
  • Participate in internal and external design review meetings to ensure design quality and compliance.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and business improvement.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical tenders and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher education qualification in electrical engineering with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a design environment.
  • Previous experience of integrating multiple services within containerized or modular builds is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis tools for electrical systems, such as Trimble MEP, DIALux, or Relux.
  • Working knowledge of 18th Edition (amendment 2) wiring regulations and relevant BS/ISO standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork abilities.
