We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Leadership professional to join our team at Global Accounting Network. As an Interim Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in building a best-practice controllership function and supporting the continued growth of the business.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Financial Controller to take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, technical accounting expertise, and a keen ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance. You will work closely with the leadership team to drive improvements in financial controls, streamline reporting processes, and develop management accounting information that adds commercial value to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the development of management accounting information that supports informed decision-making and drives business growth.
  • Implementing group accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and best practice.
  • Improving financial operating processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Mentoring and developing the current finance team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Driving improvements in working capital management and cash flow forecasting.
Requirements
  • ACA/ICAS/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a high-growth business.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills and knowledge of FRS 102.
  • Proven track record of driving improvements in financial controls and streamlining reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A calm, delivery-focused approach with a keen ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance.
