Contract Manager

Murray Price Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our client, a leading private manufacturing business with operations in the UK and overseas.

The Opportunity

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the effective commercial account management of allocated customer accounts, with a focus on Bid and Proposal Management, Contract Management, and Customer Relationship Management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage all commercial aspects of bid and proposal preparation, including credit-worthiness and foreign currency risk mitigation.
  2. Work closely with the Commercial Manager in new business development by possessing a detailed understanding of customer commercial needs and financial circumstances.
  3. Collaborate with Engineering and the shipping departments to ensure on-time and right first-time deliveries.
Requirements
  1. Commercially astute and of degree calibre, with extensive contract negotiation and management experience in the Aerospace / Defence / IT Services, Construction, or related sector.
  2. Strong financial acumen, capable of developing complex business models to support bids and proposals.
  3. A competent negotiator, able to develop and maintain key relationships with customers and major contractors at all levels.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a successful team.
