About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Team Leader to join our team at Julia's House Dorset/Wiltshire Children's Hospices. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical nursing care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care to meet individual client needs, in conjunction with Senior Team Nurses and Lead Nurses.
  • Day-to-day management of the client base, including the deployment, supervision, and teaching of Care Team members.
  • Participate in an on-call rota system to provide telephone support for care staff and families.
  • Manage a team of Carers.
  • Take a proactive role in the education and development of staff.
  • Liaise with the Julias House Care Team and with statutory and voluntary agencies involved with Julias House clients' care.

Requirements

  • Any of the following qualifications: RSCN/RN (Child Branch) diploma or degree, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, RGN, RN Adult Safeguarding Awareness Level 3.
  • Two years relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 or above.
  • Experience of caring for and working alongside families in their own environment.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently or with minimal supervision.
