The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Transmission Projects Coordinator to join our Energy business. The successful candidate will work on Cables and Substations projects, contributing to the safe and successful execution of energy transmission projects.

The Electrical Transmission Projects Coordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating tasks on multiple schemes throughout the project life cycle, including surveys, design reviews, procurement, site installation, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will have a positive and proactive approach, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a successful team.
  • Communicate and manage relationships both internal and external.
  • Work with the Project Teams to produce and review commissioning plans / programmes.
  • Ensure commissioning activities are driven to provide the best value solutions, delivered on time and within budgets.
  • Ensure all engineering designs meet required standards.
  • Monitor progress, identify and resolve problems, and ensure compliance with the programme.
  • Potentially undertake Site Management roles and responsibilities if and when required.
  • Oversee all commissioning aspects of the project through to completion / client handover phase.
  • Review projects and close out reports with the Project Manager and identify the main issues for continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • BTEC HNC Engineering (appropriate course content)
  • Detailed knowledge of Engineering
  • Experience with Substations and underground cables
  • Commercial knowledge and understanding
  • Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures.
