Job Overview: We are seeking an Experienced Site Agent with a strong background in managing electrical infrastructure projects up to 33kV. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, managing all required project documentation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects to a high standard. This role requires travel to various project sites, including extended periods staying away from home. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and highways agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects, specifically up to 33kV, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Lead and supervise on-site teams, ensuring all personnel adhere to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Oversee and manage all project-related paperwork, including risk assessments, method statements, permits, and daily site reports.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, highways agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, manage site logistics, and ensure that all resources are deployed effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Handle any on-site issues promptly, providing solutions and making decisions under pressure to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with client specifications and industry regulations.
  • Report regularly to senior management on project progress, issues, and milestones.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role within electrical infrastructure projects (up to 33kV).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience supervising site teams.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical infrastructure installation, including HV and LV systems.
  • Experience working with highways and local authorities, understanding the specific challenges these environments present.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to electrical infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to stay away from home for extended periods based on project needs.
  • Full UK driving license (company vehicle provided).

Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or construction management.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience in delivering projects with IDNO or DNO involvement.
