About The Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical transmission projects nationwide, with an initial project based in South Wales.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the Electrical Transmission management team responsible for managing civil and M&E delivery teams for National Grid EPC Substations and M&E RIIO-T2 Frameworks throughout the UK.

Our Electrical Transmission business unit works on behalf of clients including National Grid and SSE on infrastructure project development and EPC capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the construction team in delivering a portfolio of M&E projects from initiation to completion.
  2. Strategic health, safety, and environmental management to drive high standards.
  3. Deliver projects to agreed time, cost, and quality requirements.
  4. Work closely with the planning team to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress is monitored.
  5. Drive the Project team ethos to ensure cohesive management.
  6. Drive risk management for the Projects.
  7. Contribute to new contract tender bids using industry knowledge.
  8. Support the preparation of monthly CVR with the Commercial Manager.
  9. Lead the management team to deliver the balanced scorecard and meet/exceed contract financial terms and targets.

Requirements:

  1. Previous project management experience in electrical infrastructure.
  2. Knowledge of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution industry is essential.
  3. Able to demonstrate ownership of a portfolio of projects of varying values and complexities.
  4. Effective relationship management skills.
  5. Appreciation and understanding of commercial management.
  6. Flexible and adaptable.
  7. Hold a relevant Project Management qualification or equivalent.
  8. A full driving licence and willingness to travel frequently.
