We are seeking a freelance interpreter to provide professional interpreting services to public and private sector organisations across the UK.

As a key member of our team, you will be working with individuals who require language support in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, and Police.

You will be responsible for interpreting in face-to-face, telephone, and video settings, as well as providing translation services. Your role will involve listening to, understanding, and reproducing speech with 100% accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with highly confidential information
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
