Job Summary:

Hays Senior Finance is seeking a skilled Financial Services Manager to lead our Bookkeeping team in the Business Advisory Department. Based in either Colchester or Ipswich, this role offers a unique chance to work with a leading firm providing financial services and advice to businesses and individuals.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in leading teams and managing workflow. They will be responsible for reviewing weekly work plans, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining quality standards. The role also involves training team members on software such as Xero, Sage, Dext, and QuickBooks, as well as managing client relationships and visiting offices to set up and maintain bookkeeping records.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with strong IT skills and experience working with different accountancy systems. They will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification is desirable, but not essential. Experience working within accountancy practice is also beneficial.

In return for your expertise, you can expect a competitive market salary of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working options, 36 days of paid holiday, health insurance, and life assurance.
