We are seeking experienced professionals to join our First Response Service team as Senior Crisis Care Practitioners.

The First Response Service provides 24/7 crisis telephone support, offering advice, assessment, and guidance in a compassionate, patient, and recovery-focused manner.

Our service offers both fixed-term/secondment and substantive opportunities for full- and part-time hours, including days (7:45am - 8pm), nights (7:45pm-8am), and twilights.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Responding to calls from service users and professionals
  • Triage and assessment over the phone
  • Safety Planning
  • Documentation of the above, including referrals, notes, and referrals to other teams
  • Liaison with other professionals and teams
  • Creating formulations and plans for regular callers on occasion
  • Leading champion subjects such as Learning Disability, Youth, Drug & Alcohol, Perinatal, etc. (Opportunities for training, knowledge sharing, attending conferences or meetings)
  • Shadowing other teams where appropriate
  • Brief intervention over the phone where applicable
  • Quality Improvement

You will also have the opportunity to co-coordinate shifts, provide clinical oversight, support practitioners, contribute to teaching and training, lead staff development, and be a visible role model embodying the Trust's values and the service's vision.

Key Requirements:
  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology, or ENB 998 qualification
  • Ongoing professional development towards degree level
  • Higher degree or postgraduate certificate in clinical/therapeutic practice
Competitive Salary:

£42,500 - £62,000 per annum
