Senior Crisis Care Practitioner Job Description
In this demanding yet fulfilling role, you will be responsible for responding to crisis calls, conducting phone triage assessments, and developing safety plans. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with other professionals and teams to ensure seamless care coordination and provide brief interventions over the phone to support callers in crisis. We are seeking experienced mental health professionals who can demonstrate effective risk management and possess relevant qualifications, such as a nursing degree or higher degree in clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to crisis calls from service users and professionals
  • Conduct phone triage assessments and develop safety plans
  • Liaise with other professionals and teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Document interactions, including referrals and notes
  • Brief interventions over the phone to support callers in crisis
  • Lead on champion subjects and contribute to staff development

Person Specification
We are looking for individuals with relevant mental health experience and risk assessment skills, along with a willingness to work towards degree level through ongoing professional development. Our comprehensive training package includes a supernumerary period and an allocated mentor, providing you with the support needed to excel in this challenging yet rewarding role.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
