Job Title: Workshop Technician


Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join our Baywater Healthcare team in Norwich. As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for supporting home oxygen and long-term condition services to patients in the community on behalf of the NHS. Your role will involve providing a high-quality service to users by ensuring stringent quality cleaning, verification, and repair of healthcare equipment.


About the Role:


You will be an integral part of our team, supporting the regional team of technicians in providing a high-quality service to users. Your day-to-day tasks will include verifying, cleaning, and repairing equipment, as well as recording serial numbers and conducting PAT testing. You will also be responsible for maintaining the regional site Kan Ban systems and supporting the regional operation by conducting consumable and hardware deliveries to remote sites and technicians.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide empathetic and professional support to service patients, families, and clinical leads.
  • Verify, clean, and repair equipment as required.
  • Record serial numbers of equipment received from Healthcare Technicians and place the equipment into the correct 'holding' area.
  • Conduct PAT testing and Soak testing of equipment.
  • Record accurately all work conducted.
  • Record serial numbers ready for dispatch to Healthcare Technicians.
  • Occasionally off-load delivery vehicles on site and receipt any other stock as required.
