About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Therapeutic Apheresis team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a Therapeutic Apheresis Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing apheresis procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients undergoing apheresis procedures, develop and implement individualized care plans, and ensure the safe and effective delivery of apheresis treatments.
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in therapeutic apheresis procedures, stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices, and provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, communicate complex information to patients and families, and provide education and support to promote patient understanding and engagement.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, stay current with industry developments, and contribute to the advancement of therapeutic apheresis nursing practice.
