About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Community Mental Health Team in Walsall North. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with a variety of mental health professionals to provide high-quality psychological therapies to working-age adults.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing complex formulations and offering supervision, consultancy, reflective practice groups, and training to colleagues
  • Working directly with challenging and risky presentations, including Complex PTSD and personality disorder
  • Developing new and innovative ways of working, with support from the Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist
  • Accessing clinical, professional, and management supervision, as well as training opportunities through Health Education England

Our psychology team has a broad range of therapeutic interests and expertise, including psychodynamic, systemic/narrative, and cognitive-behavioural models. We offer a supportive network for staff and have strong links to local Clinical and Counselling Psychology Doctorate courses.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Doctorate or Masters Level in Clinical/Counselling Psychology
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience of working within CMHT (desirable)
