GSK is seeking a skilled Engineer to provide technical support for Frontend platforms, including Micronising, Blending, and Filling. The successful candidate will work within the respiratory department, supporting the development and maintenance of production equipment for multi-dose powder inhalers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong pharmaceutical background and experience working in highly regulated environments. They will be responsible for delivering professional engineering expertise to ensure the design, installation, and performance of production equipment are maintained and continuously improved.
The role will involve frequent interaction with Quality and Safety Practitioners and Regulatory bodies, as well as supporting the development of procedures relevant to the Frontend Engineering Department.
About You:
- Knowledge of and experience working within highly regulated environments
- A good standard of numeracy and literacy is essential
- Process safety awareness including risk management
- Capable of managing small packages of Engineering work on complex manufacturing equipment
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
The Ware Campus is a significant investment site for GSK, with multiple large capital asset refreshment programmes in place. The successful candidate will influence and provide technical guidance facilitating this expansion, as well as supporting the current production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing/delivering improvements across Frontend platforms and associated Infrastructure on site
- Frequent interaction with Quality and Safety Practitioners and Regulatory bodies
- Delivering a culture of improving the performance of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Customer Service
- Supporting and driving conformance to asset maintenance strategy
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in an Engineering discipline
- Relevant experience of working within manufacturing engineering teams
