Electrical Engineer Role
At Mitie, we're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Electrical Supervisor in maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that all electrical engineering equipment is properly maintained, utilizing safe and efficient planned maintenance services, and fault resolution.
- Liaise with users and the planning department to adjust schedules in line with company GxP guidelines and KPIs.
- Communicate progress to users and the Engineering department, providing advice on any delays to maintenance schedules or processing plans.
Key Duties
- Perform all duties and tasks to established GxP standards.
- Be aware of Service Level Agreements to ensure their requirements are met.
- Provide information to support client QI processes where required.
- Carry out the duties expected of an electrical technician.
- Take the lead in specific jobs and direct other craftspersons, technicians, or contractors as needed.
- Investigate, diagnose, and rectify faults to a proven level of competency.
- Carry out isolations to Company standards to enable the safe disconnection of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Check, test, set, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment to proven competence levels.
- Operate and monitor plant items and services, maintaining such systems.
- Perform duties in compliance with GSK, Mitie UK procedures, and Health and Safety at Work Act responsibilities.
- Record information such as work done, time taken, and material used in the appropriate equipment logbook or asset history file, in accordance with GxP record retention where required.
- Perform tasks on BMS to personal competency levels.
- Liaise with and assist the Electrical Supervisor in generating and reviewing assets/PPM's and prioritizing day-to-day work, ensuring compliance with SOPs and SLAs.
- Ensure all site-specific procedures and the MITIE QMS are followed.
- Promptly and correctly document incidents.
