We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Services Operative to join our team at Bellrock Property and Facilities Management. As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent customer service to our residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake a full range of duties appropriate to your technical skills level, including multi-disciplined activities within the scope of your training and competence.
- Regularly check the fabric of the buildings and grounds and report any defects to the Assistant Building Service Manager.
- Undertake repair work as directed by the Assistant Building Service Manager, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety rules.
- Undertake simple repairs to plant installations and equipment as directed by the Assistant Building Service Manager, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety rules.
- Share responsibilities for the regular health and safety checks, fire alarm checks, and water hygiene checks.
- Undertake a variety of routine maintenance tasks and checks, applying basic fixes to ensure facilities are fully functional.
- Provide support to visitors on site.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work unsupervised, as well as working part of a team.
- Proactive problem-solving and organization of work tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring that all visitors are dealt with courteously.
- Ability to work alone, using your own initiative.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular working hours as required.
- Ability to prioritize work accordingly.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, including with clients, residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to cover other work requests deemed necessary for the smooth running of the contract.
We offer flexible working practices, which allow our employees to work their hours remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, you will be required to work from our office in Addlestone, Surrey, working a 4 on, 2 off rota between the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid break, or 7.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid break.
