Job Responsibilities

As a General Practitioner in our care home, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our residents. Your duties will include:

  1. Delivering comprehensive medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various health conditions.
  2. Providing services in accordance with the APMS contract, ensuring seamless integration with our care home's operations.
  3. Generic prescribing, adhering to local and national guidelines to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  4. Participating in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to good practice, policy, and guidance.
  6. Contributing to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within our practice, driving excellence in patient care.
  7. Embracing a culture of ongoing learning and professional development, inspiring your colleagues to do the same.
  8. Supporting the training of medical students from various clinical disciplines, fostering a spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  9. Reviewing and adhering to practice protocols and policies at all times, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  10. Participating in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care, demonstrating your commitment to our practice's mission.
  11. Participating in the completion and review of significant and near-miss events, applying a structured approach to root cause analysis.
