About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE Engineer to join our team at MatchaTalent. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Develop and implement effective HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Training and Development
    • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees and contractors on HSE matters.
    • Develop and maintain a training matrix to ensure that all employees and contractors receive regular HSE training and updates.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
    • Investigate all incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Prepare and submit incident reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure effective HSE management.
    • Communicate HSE information and updates to employees, contractors, and stakeholders through regular reports, meetings, and training sessions.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, safety, or environmental science.
    • Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), are highly desirable.
  • Experience and Skills
    • At least 8 years of experience in a senior HSE role, preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE programs and policies.
    • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
