Renal Operations Manager

The Renal Manager role is a complex position that requires strong communication and organizational skills. As a key member of the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust team, you will be responsible for managing the allocation of patients to regular resources, ensuring the effective and efficient interface between the Trust and service user organizations, and providing a focal contact point for renal units.
Main Responsibilities- Operational Management: Ensure the effective and efficient operational management of resources to meet contractual commitments and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) relating to renal patients attending dialysis units.
- Interface Management: Manage the interface between the Trust and service user organizations, including setting up regular service user group meetings and conducting customer satisfaction surveys.
- Day-to-Day Issues: Deal with day-to-day issues affecting the delivery of ambulance services and private providers, and proactively discuss requirements and future development needs with renal unit managers.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure all Trust policies and procedures are implemented, adhered to, and monitored, including Health and Safety, COSHH, Equal Opportunities, Sickness, Discipline, and Grievance.
- Business Planning: Participate in the business planning process in conjunction with the NEPTS Locality.
- Complaints and Investigations: Deal with complaints and carry out investigations for reported incidents as directed by the NEPTS Locality Manager.
- Qualifications and Training: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, and a recognized management qualification (ILM or CMS) or demonstrable experience within the theatre of management.
- Knowledge and Experience: Client or customer management experience in patient transport or transport and logistics, experience of applying and executing a client-focused strategy and policy, and experience of working under pressure.
