The Renal Operations Manager is a complex role that requires strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the allocation of patients to regular resources, ensuring the effective and efficient operational management of resources, and maintaining the interface between the Trust and service user organizations.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure the effective and efficient operational management of resources to meet contractual commitments and Service Level Agreements (SLA) relating to renal patients attending dialysis units.
- Provide a focal contact point for renal units and responsibility for dealing with day-to-day issues affecting the delivery of ambulance services and private providers.
- Proactively discuss requirements and future development needs with renal unit managers and develop and implement new methods of service delivery.
- Ensure all Trust policies and procedures are implemented, adhered to, and monitored, including Health and Safety, COSHH, Equal Opportunities, Sickness, Discipline, and Grievance.
- Participate in the business planning process in conjunction with the NEPTS Locality and deal with complaints and carry out investigations as directed by the NEPTS Locality Manager.
- Have sign-off for timesheets and expenses and limited purchase authorization as defined by the NEPTS Locality.
- Ensure that all documentation associated with operational aspects of the Patient Transport Services is maintained and stored appropriately in accordance with Information Governance policies.
- Participate in the On-Call management rota for NEPTS and support the Trust's response to major incidents, including call-outs when off-duty.
- Line manage reports for Sickness Absence management, Performance management, Appraisal process, and Personal Development.
- Monitor the performance of ambulance and external providers of services and provide statistical information on renal patient activity and quality standards.
- Promote the team concept throughout SCAS NEPTS and with stakeholders within the renal community.
- Ensure that all personal operational, performance, educational, and professional objectives set by your Locality Manager are successfully achieved within the agreed timescales, demonstrating consistently high standards of customer care and commitment to service improvement.
- Ensure that staff are able to work in a safe and conducive working environment and that responsibilities regarding Health and Safety and staff welfare legislation and best practice are fulfilled throughout the organization.
- Ensure that the Trust's policies in relation to Equality and Diversity are central to the working ethos of all staff.
- Essential:
- Educated to Degree Level, or equivalent experience.
- Recognised management qualification ILM or CMS (Tec Level 5) or demonstrable experience within the theatre of management.
- Desirable:
- Supervisory experience in a Customer Care setting.
- Full manual UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points for speeding (any offence relating to drink/drinks on the licence will be rejected).
