The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Centre Manager to lead the Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings (CeNZ-HighDB). As a key member of the University's research community, the Centre Manager will provide strategic leadership and management to deliver the Centre's objectives.
About the Centre:
CeNZ-HighDB is a nationally strategic programme that brings together an ecosystem of researchers, industry, civic, and community partners to develop new low-carbon construction products, processes, energy, and data analysis systems. The Centre aims to accelerate the development of net-zero solutions for high-density housing, buildings, and community districts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and management to deliver the Centre's objectives
- Coordinate the delivery of the nationally strategic programme
- Liaise and engage with policy makers operating across the full supply chain of the housing, construction, and retrofit sectors
- Work closely with an operations team and a team of talented researchers to support co-creation of research challenges, translational and commercialisation activities, and generate a sustainable model of collaboration and growth
- Collaborate with the Centre Director, Principal Investigator, and academic colleagues to deliver on the strategic and operational objectives of the Centre
Requirements:
- Experience of managing, planning, and overseeing multiple research projects
- Ability to deliver management reports on operations, budgets, and projects
- Experience of working with multiple and diverse stakeholders, including industry, government, and/or public sector
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and coordination across complex projects
- Experience of leading and organising diverse events involving multiple stakeholders
