About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pension Administrator to join our team at IDEX Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our DB schemes team, you will be responsible for administering and leading on a portfolio of Defined Benefit schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage a portfolio of DB schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Act as the client relationship manager, providing exceptional service to scheme members, pension trustees, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage workflow, train, and develop junior staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to check and review work, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • At least five years' experience working in a Defined Benefit pension administration environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, including UK pensions legislation, regulation, and codes of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work proactively, using initiative to complete tasks and achieve objectives.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of GMP Reconciliation/Equalisation calculations.
  • Practical knowledge of the Pension Protection Fund (PPF).
