Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Future Education in the London Borough of Greenwich. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing 1:1 support to pupils with behavioural needs, including ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and other challenges.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children in some capacity, such as a Behaviour Support Assistant, SEN TA, LSA, Child Support Assistant, or Youth Worker. You will also have experience working with children and young people with ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and other behavioural challenges.

This is a Monday to Friday position starting ASAP, with a daily rate of £85 to £115 a day depending on experience. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with behavioural needs in various educational settings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized behaviour support plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and educational staff to support students' learning and behavioural development.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide regular feedback to parents and staff.
  • Support small groups of students as needed to enhance learning and behavioural outcomes.
  • Utilize strategies and interventions to manage and improve student behaviour.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.


Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children in some capacity.
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and other behavioural challenges.
  • Live within an easy commutable distance to the London Borough of Greenwich.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Proven ability to provide effective 1:1 support and manage small groups.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with challenging behaviours.
