About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our Inclusion and Engagement Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our positive action recruitment work, aimed at improving diversity within our workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with local communities and groups to promote our organization and attract diverse talent.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Design and deliver presentations, workshops, and other materials to engage diverse audiences.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to individuals and groups to improve their chances of employment within our organization.
  • Travel across a wide geographical area to support community engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong keyboard skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and use own initiative.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and its implications for workforce diversity.
  • Experience of community engagement, including working with diverse community groups and individuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
