Aerospace CNC Turner Job Opportunity

Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turner to work with one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in the UK.

This contract role involves working on a variety of projects, including centre lathe turning and manufacturing parts from start to finish to Aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture parts from start to finish using centre lathe turning techniques
  • Set and run bespoke work on 2 Axis Lathes
  • Ensure quality control by stamping to confirm assemblies meet Honeywell and Customer standards
  • Meet on-time delivery targets by completing work efficiently and to the required standard
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow process layout and documentation procedures
  • Work effectively in a lean environment
Requirements:
  • Engineering Apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of machining, specifically CNC and Manual Turning or relative machining experience
  • Knowledge of hand measuring equipment, such as Vernier, Micrometre, Thread and Plug Gauges
  • High standard of Health & Safety
  • Adhering to Company Processes & Procedures
  • Working in a Customer-focused environment and achieving targets
  • Working with Designers and Engineers
Attributes/Skills:
  • Understanding of Aerospace practice and the significance of safety-critical work
  • PC literate
  • Ability to display essential skills in Health & Safety standards, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative
  • Continuous Improvement

This position is subject to meeting the eligibility conditions of Export Control Licenses and Technical Assistant Agreements.

Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.

Shift: 7am – 3:30pm.
