Join Our Team as a Precision CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team at Team Jobs - Strategic Accounts. This role involves the precise CNC turning of aerospace components, adhering to stringent manufacturing guidelines, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on meeting production deadlines while reporting directly to the Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform centre lathe turning to manufacture components from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Implement Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) measures.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow established process layouts and documentation protocols.
  • Contribute effectively within a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in CNC and manual turning, with relevant machining experience.
  • Familiarity with hand measuring tools, including Verniers, Micrometres, and gauges.
  • Commitment to high health and safety standards.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Experience in a customer-oriented setting, achieving performance targets.
  • Collaboration with designers and engineers is essential.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • A strong understanding of aerospace practices and the importance of safety-critical operations.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain health and safety standards, work collaboratively, exhibit flexibility, and utilize initiative.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Additional training will be provided as necessary.

This position is subject to compliance with Export Control Licenses and Technical Assistant Agreements.

Compensation: £18.34 per hour (Skilled Worker, Indentured Skilled Worker)

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 12:00)
  • Day/Late Swing Shift: Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 13:00); Late Shift - Monday to Thursday (15:30 to 00:00)

Mandatory Requirements: Successful candidates must undergo full BPSS screening, including verification of legal right to work, criminal background checks, and drug screening.

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and pass all necessary background and security checks.
