We are seeking a talented and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Team Jobs - Strategic Accounts. This role involves the precision CNC turning of aerospace components, adhering to strict manufacturing guidelines, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on meeting production deadlines while reporting directly to the Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform centre lathe turning to manufacture aerospace parts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards;
  • Conduct Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) to maintain high standards;
  • Ensure timely delivery by completing tasks within set deadlines and quality standards;
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow process layouts and documentation protocols;
  • Contribute effectively in a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship is desirable but not mandatory;
  • Proficient in CNC and manual turning or relevant machining experience;
  • Familiarity with hand measuring tools, including Verniers, Micrometres, and gauges;
  • Commitment to high health and safety standards;
  • Adherence to company processes and procedures;
  • Experience in a customer-oriented environment with a focus on achieving targets;
  • Collaboration with designers and engineers.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Understanding of aerospace practices and the importance of safety-critical operations;
  • Proficient in computer applications;
  • Ability to demonstrate essential skills in health and safety compliance, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative;
  • Commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Additional training will be provided as necessary.

This position is subject to meeting eligibility requirements for export control licenses and technical assistance agreements.

Compensation: £18.34 per hour (Skilled Worker, Indentured Skilled Worker)

Shifts Available:

  • Days: Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 12:00)
  • Days/Late Swing Shift: Days - Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 13:00); Lates - Monday to Thursday (15:30 to 00:00)

Mandatory Requirements: Full BPSS Screening, including proof of legal right to work, criminal records check, and drug screening.

Note: Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and successfully pass all necessary background and security checks.
