We are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to join our team at Austin Fraser, a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About Us

Austin Fraser provides a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child can achieve their full potential. Our mission is to support young people aged 11-16 with a variety of needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and complex learning needs.

We have a strong focus on developing tailored support plans for each student, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The Role

As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of our students with diverse needs. This includes providing 1:1 or group support to students, and working closely with teachers to develop targeted support plans.

  • Develop and implement support plans for students with diverse needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student.
Requirements
  1. Experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH needs (essential).
  2. A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  3. Relevant qualifications in youth work, education, or health and social care are desirable but not essential.
