Our Public Law & Human Rights team advises and represents clients on a wide range of issues, including:

  • Inquests
  • False Imprisonment, Malicious Prosecution, and Assault
  • Discrimination on grounds of race, gender, or other characteristics
  • Human Rights Act and Data Protection Issues
  • Immigration Detention
  • Unlawful Stops and Searches
  • Police Complaints

We have a national reputation for working on test cases and are instructed in high-profile, cutting-edge matters.

We have a network of public law teams across the country and hold Legal Aid Agency contracts in public law, community care, and actions against the police.

What We're Looking For

A Paralegal or public law/human rights background would be an advantage, particularly in the areas mentioned above. However, this is not essential.

Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in these areas of work. They should also have excellent client care skills and a sensitive understanding of clients' needs.

Successful candidates will have good communication skills, analytical and organisational abilities, and be committed to teamwork. They should be IT literate, attentive to detail, and able to use their initiative.

This role suits well-motivated individuals with intelligence, ambition, and lateral thinking skills. A working knowledge of legal aid systems is desirable.
