{"About the Role": "The Bodleian Libraries is seeking a highly skilled Senior Archivist to join its Archives and Modern Manuscripts team. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the administration, prioritization, planning, and delivery of the Libraries' archival work, with a primary focus on the University's own archives. Your expertise will be instrumental in overseeing individuals and small teams in executing A&MM projects and daily operations. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates eager to leverage their skills to drive change and integrate the management of the University Archives into the Libraries' wider archival policies, processes, and practices.

Key responsibilities include the stewardship of the University's archive, making this material accessible for administrative and research purposes. You will also play a role in fostering a good record-keeping culture across the University to ensure a strong pipeline of appropriate materials to the archive. Additionally, you will oversee the daily operations of the Bodleian Library's Records Centre, which houses semi-current records of the Bodleian Libraries, some of which may be retained indefinitely as archives.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility in start and finish times is offered, with the expectation of being present at the Weston Library in Oxford during core hours of Mon-Fri 10am–4pm. Participation in rotas for evening & weekend reading room supervision duties is required.
