Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Digital Archivist Trainee. As a key member of our digital preservation team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of our digital collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the processing and preservation of digital materials, including websites, documents, and other digital artifacts.
  • Work with our digital curation team to develop and implement strategies for the long-term preservation of digital collections.
  • Collaborate with our metadata team to create and maintain accurate and consistent metadata for our digital collections.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of digital preservation policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as digital curation, information management, or a related field.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of digital preservation principles and practices.
  • Experience with digital curation tools and technologies, such as XML metadata and digital curation software.
