Science Teacher Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our exceptional Science Department at a brilliant secondary school in Leicester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Science Instruction: Deliver engaging and dynamic science lessons to secondary school students, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials in line with the curriculum, tailoring instruction to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Student Engagement: Create an inclusive and enriching classroom atmosphere where students are motivated to participate actively in their scientific journey, supporting students in developing strong scientific skills and knowledge.
  • Assessment and Progress Tracking: Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents, collaborating with colleagues to analyse data and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Professional Collaboration: Work closely with the Science Department to enhance the overall quality of science education, sharing best practices and innovative teaching techniques with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • A degree in a relevant science field.
  • Proven experience as a Science Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science.
  • Exceptional communication skills and classroom management abilities.
