Science Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our exceptional Science Department at a brilliant secondary school in Leicester. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging science lessons to secondary school students, encouraging them to explore and understand scientific concepts, fostering curiosity and critical thinking.

• Deliver science lessons to secondary school students, promoting a love of science and encouraging students to ask questions and think critically.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials in line with the curriculum, tailoring instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Create an enriching and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students are motivated to participate actively in their scientific journey, supporting students in developing strong scientific skills and knowledge.
• Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents, collaborating with colleagues to analyse data and implement strategies for improvement.
• Work closely with the Science Department to enhance the overall quality of science education, sharing best practices and innovative teaching techniques with colleagues.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
• A degree in a relevant science field.
• Proven experience as a Science Teacher in a secondary school setting.
