Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data processing pipelines, ensuring high-quality data delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data processing pipelines using big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch
  • Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand client requirements and develop data solutions
  • Work closely with the projects team to ensure timely delivery of data projects
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum meetings and sprint planning

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in big data engineering, with a strong understanding of data processing pipelines
  • Expert knowledge of at least one big data technology, such as Spark, Hadoop, or Elasticsearch
  • Strong coding skills in Java, Python, or Scala
  • Experience with testing libraries and automated testing
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
