Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data processing pipelines, ensuring high-quality data delivery to our clients. If you have a passion for big data, a strong background in Scala, and excellent communication skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance data processing pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, and Scala
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and delivery
  • Develop and maintain data models, ensuring data consistency and integrity
  • Work closely with data scientists to integrate data into our analytics platform
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve our data engineering practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience in big data engineering, with a strong background in Scala
  • Excellent understanding of data processing pipelines, data quality, and data governance
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Spark, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch, with a strong understanding of data storage and retrieval
  • Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
