About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Quantexa. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our data processing systems, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines using our award-winning software, ensuring high-quality, operationally stable systems.
  • Collaborate with our solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and standards for complex big data challenges.
  • Develop and deploy production-level data processing batch systems, leveraging modern development tooling and technologies.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their data needs and provide expert guidance on data management, transformation, and cleansing.
Requirements
  • At least four years of industry experience in a data engineering role or equivalent, with a strong background in hands-on technical development.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or a programming language associated with data engineering, with a strong appreciation for engineering principles.
  • Experience with modern development tooling, such as Git, Gradle, Nexus, and technologies supporting automation and DevOps, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
  • Strong technical communication ability, with demonstrable experience of working in rapidly changing client environments.
  • Knowledge of testing libraries, such as ScalaTest, and the ability to write unit tests, integration tests, and other types of tests.
