Maths Tutor Opportunity

MLK Education Search is seeking a skilled Maths Tutor to join an Outstanding college. This role is ideal for industry professionals looking to transition into teaching through the Taking Teaching Further scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
  • Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
  • Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis
  • Undertake in-house training to remain up-to-date with awarding body expectations
  • Support learners to prepare for their assessed end-of-year project
Requirements:
  • Proven outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework
  • Solution-focused and able to respond to data trends
  • Empathy towards challenges faced by a demographic of young adults with high free school meals and poverty rate
  • Experience in teaching Functional Skills Maths E3-L2, GCSE Mathematics and Core Principles Mathematics (Level 3)
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
  • L5 teaching qualification preferred – relevant experience will be advantageous
